‘Soldiers proved themselves in situations like surgical strikes’
The Defense Minister said in his address on Sunday, ‘India is no longer weak. We believe in peace. If anyone tries to harm us, now a befitting reply is given. Singh also referred to the 2016 surgical strikes and the 2019 Balakot air strikes. Referring to this, he said that Indian soldiers have proved themselves time and again in such situations.

Rajnath Singh also mentioned the bravery shown by Indian soldiers during the violent clashes in Galwan Valley in Eastern Ladakh. He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has taken several initiatives to get rid of the colonial mindset. These include a new Indian Navy flag, especially inspired by the Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji, the abolition of about 1500 obsolete British-era laws, the renaming of the Rajpath to the Path of Duty, and the installation of a grand statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at the India Gate. .
Earlier on Saturday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had told about the contribution related to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. He said that the contribution of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in independent India was ignored or underestimated. There were many documents related to him, which were also avoided to be brought to the public.
The Defense Minister said that now Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose has been given the respect which he always deserved. More than 300 documents related to Netaji which were not being made public for a long time. We declassified them and dedicated them to the people of India.
