Axar Patel on Rohit Sharma: Axar Patel has become the superstar of Team India after his charismatic innings against West Indies. They are in limelight and they are trending from news to social media. He is constantly getting congratulations from all over. In the same episode, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma sent him a special congratulatory message on Twitter, to which Akshar also responded in a similar fashion.

Akshar’s reply to Rohit’s congratulatory message

Like Rohit, Akshar too used Gujarati language to reply. He wrote on Twitter, “Badhu Saru Che Rohit Bhai Thanks.. Cheers.” Akshar replied to Rohit’s tweet congratulating him and wrote, “Wow Team India’s great performance Bapu Badhu Saru Che.” Rohit posted this post on social media after Axar Patel’s brilliant match-winning innings while chasing a target of 312 runs in the second ODI. Akshar is from Gujarat and teammates address him as Bapu, so Rohit used the word Bapu in his tweet along with Gujarati language.

Akshar had won by a strong innings

When Axar came to bat in the second ODI against West Indies at Port of Spain, India needed 107 runs from 74 balls. He made quick shots as soon as he came to the crease and while batting in a cool style, completely ignored the increasing pressure on the team. He touched the 50-run mark in 27 balls and after that, batting with full sensitivity, took the team beyond the threshold of victory. Deepak Hooda, Shardul Thakur and Avesh Khan returned to the pavilion in front of them but the letters remained unmoved. He scored an unbeaten 64 off 35 balls in his match-winning innings.

Thanks to this powerful innings, India gave Team India a historic victory with two balls to spare. It was the third-largest chase in West Indies in ODI cricket. Akshar achieved the target of 312 runs by hitting a six with full style.
