The Yogi government has said in its order that all madrassas have to play songs of independence, organize plays and essay competitions on independence from 11 to 17 August.

The Yogi government is going to celebrate Independence Week from 11 to 17 August on the 75th anniversary of independence i.e. Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. Under this, the scheme of Har Ghar Jhanda Abhiyan is also included. Significantly, there are about 8000 madrassas in UP, but those come under the madrassa parishad. Out of these, there are about 560 madrasas which are fully financially aided by the UP government.
