Chess Olympiad: The hoardings were put up as part of the Tamil Nadu government’s campaign campaign for the 44th Chess Olympiad to begin on 28 July. The hoarding did not carry the Prime Minister’s picture, with one BJP’s Tamil Nadu Sports and Skill Development Cell President Amar Prasad Reddy, along with two others, later pasted PM Modi’s picture on the hoarding.
