Vicious crook arrested in encounter with police in Noida

Noida: Sector-39 police station of Noida in Uttar Pradesh arrested a vicious miscreant notorious for robbery during an encounter on Monday night. The bullet fired by the police hit his leg. Police have recovered two mobile phones, country made pistol, cartridges and motorcycle etc. looted from different places from him.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajneesh Verma said that Inspector Rajeev Balyan, in-charge of Sector-39 police station, along with his team was searching vehicles on Monday night when they received information that some miscreants were roaming around with the intention of carrying out a major incident. He told that the police saw two people coming on a motorcycle near Sector-97 service road and when they signaled them to stop, instead of stopping, the miscreants started running away while firing at the police.

The ACP said that while retaliating, the police also fired. The bullet fired by the police hit the leg of Shahrukh, a resident of Ghaziabad.
