Chhattisgarh News: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Friday that raids by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Income Tax (IT) department would soon be seen in his state too. He said because the MLAs of the ruling coalition of Jharkhand are staying at a resort near Raipur. At the same time, the police detained more than 40 workers of BJP’s Yuva Morcha here for some time. These workers were protesting outside the resort where MLAs of the ruling coalition of Jharkhand are staying.

BJP does not believe in democracy

In Raipur, Baghel accused the BJP of not having faith in democracy, saying that the legislators of Jharkhand’s ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA), Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) should protect democracy. To have been kept in a resort on the outskirts of Raipur. He said, “BJP does not believe in democracy. Jharkhand’s (ruling coalition’s) MLAs are staying in Raipur and we have welcomed them. Baghel said, “They (Jharkhand MLAs) could have gone anywhere, but they came to Chhattisgarh. I knew very well that if I call them to stay here, there will be ED and IT action against the state. But this is the act of democracy. necessary to protect.” Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers reached near the Mayfair Golf Resort in Nava Raipur at around 3 pm but were stopped by the police from moving forward. These BJYM workers had posters in their hands which read, “Ankita we are ashamed, your murderer is alive.”

Ankita, a Class XII student, was allegedly set ablaze by a man in Jharkhand’s Dumka district and she succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital. BJYM state president Amit Sahu said, “There is chaos in Jharkhand and law and order has collapsed. Girls are not safe. But ruling UPA MLAs are having a picnic in Raipur. The Congress government of Chhattisgarh has promised to implement prohibition in the state. But she is serving liquor to the MLAs of Jharkhand.”
