Guru Nanak Jayanti 2022: Today, Guru Nanak Jayanti is being celebrated everywhere in the country with great pomp. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the program organized on the occasion of this holy Prakash Parv. UP CM Yogi Adityanath said that Sikh Gurus have a glorious history of their own. He said that today we remember Sikh Gurus and we should get inspiration from them. CM Yogi said that we are remembering him because his life was completely devoted to the country and religion.

This festival is also known as Prakash Parv and Guru Parv.

Guru Nanak was the founder of Sikhism and the first Sikh Guru. Guru Nanak ji was born in the year 1469 on the day of Kartik Purnima, so every year on the full moon date of Kartik month, Guru Nanak Jayanti is celebrated everywhere in the country and abroad. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the people on this holy festival. He said that Sikh Gurus have a tradition of making sacrifices for the country and religion. This festival, celebrated as Guru Nanak Jayanti, is also known as Prakash Parv and Guru Parv.

Guru Nanak ji is also called by these names, his followers

The followers of Guru Nanak call him by names like Nanak, Nanak Dev Ji, Baba Nanak and Nanakshah. Nanak had in his personality the qualities of a philosopher, a yogi, a householder, a religious reformer, a social reformer, a poet, a patriot and a Vishwabandhu. Nanak’s birth place is Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, and his mausoleum at Kartarpur Sahib, both of which are now located in Pakistan.
