Congress On MSP: The Congress on Sunday said it fully opposes the “anti-people policies” of the government. The Congress said that it will fight a road-to-Parliament fight to ensure the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for the produce of the farmers. The party said this after a two-day meeting of the office bearers of the All India Kisan Congress (AIKC-All India Kisan Congress). AIKC’s new chief Sukhpal Singh Khaira said that he would tour across the country to know the problems of farmers and laborers and give their support.
“Congress will oppose the anti-people policies of the Center”
Sukhpal Singh Khaira said that he will fight the battle of farmers and laborers from the road to Parliament. He said the government may “misuse” institutions like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as much as it wants, but the party will stand firm and oppose the “anti-people” policies of the Centre. Khaira appreciated the work of outgoing Kisan Congress President Nana Patole and his team.
“Those who work diligently will definitely be promoted”
Sukhpal Singh Khaira said that whoever has worked diligently in the last four years will definitely be promoted. Also, Khaira said that the Kisan Congress will organize a big program soon. In which big leaders of the party will also participate. He said the government had “betrayed” the farmers and laborers of the country through three new agricultural laws.
