Congress Protest : On the issue of inflation and unemployment, the Congress is preparing to protest in the whole country including Delhi today. The biggest plan of Congress is to protest in Delhi. However, the Delhi Police has made it clear that the Congress has been allowed only for the Jantar Mantar program. Congress has also planned to gherao the PM residence and march to Rashtrapati Bhavan. Congress Working Committee (CWC) members and senior party leaders plan to gherao the Prime Minister’s residence. The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members of Congress will take out a march from Parliament House to Rashtrapati Bhavan. Apart from this, Youth Congress workers will protest at Jantar Mantar today.
Congress’s attacking stand on Modi government
The Congress has been quite an attacker on the Modi government since the day Sonia and Rahul Gandhi were interrogated in the National Herald case. Congress’ fury has reached its peak after the office of Young India situated on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg in Delhi was sealed. After which today’s Halla Bol program was announced. Meanwhile, Delhi Police has tightened the security of the entire area. Barricading has been done in place, as well as the police has also made it clear that section 144 is already in force in the area due to Parliament being in session. So whoever violates this will be taken into custody.
ED interrogates Mallikarjun Kharge
Earlier yesterday, the ED questioned senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge for a long time. The Congress alleged that the summoning of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) during the Parliament session shows that the level of ‘Modishahi’ is going down every day. The main opposition party also claimed that it was an insult not only to the Parliament and the Leader of the Opposition, but also to the Constitution and the entire legislature.
Entire Congress stands with Kharge: Jairam Ramesh
Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said Kharge was supposed to host a dinner in the evening for Margaret Alva, the joint opposition candidate in the vice presidential election, but was not dropped by the ED till late in the evening. He said that the entire Congress stands with Kharge. Ramesh also said, “When Parliament is in session, the ED summoned the Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge. He left Parliament at around 12:20 pm and appeared before the ED. The standard of Modishahi is going down every day.
Why is Modi ji so scared: Digvijay Singh
Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh told reporters, “There is no example in the history of democracy that the Leader of the Opposition should be called during the Parliament session by the ED and the probe agency.” If Kharge had to be called, he would have called before 11 am or after 5 pm.’ He said, ‘The house is going on, so Kharge is being called by the ED to give a statement. We have neither seen nor heard a bigger joke of democracy than this. Why is Modi ji so scared? He said, ‘Inflation has increased, we are not fighting our battle. We are fighting the people’s fight. Digvijay Singh said that Congress leaders will march to Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday.
