A video of Namazis offering prayers on the road in the Garima Garden area of Tila Mod police station area of Ghaziabad went viral on social media. After which Hindu organizations have lodged a strong objection. Apart from the mutawalli of the mosque, the police have registered a case against unknown worshipers. People associated with the mosque say that due to the filling of the space in the mosque, some people had offered Namaz outside the road. Whereas the police said that Mutawalli Jaan Mohammad of the mosque had asked the people who had come to offer prayers on Friday to offer prayers on the road after filling the space in the mosque. According to the police, Section 144 has been imposed in Ghaziabad. In such a situation, it is not right to offer Namaz on the road.
Road closure causes trouble
Local people say that closing the road and offering Namaz is not right at all. This makes it difficult for people to travel. A mosque has been built for offering Namaz. If there is no space then it should be arranged by the committee of the mosque. Police should stop offering Namaz on the road and take action against those responsible.
Hindu organizations objected
VHP District Minister Vikas Mishra told that there is a mosque of 50 yards here and there is another big mosque 500 meters inside this mosque. Where Namaz can be read comfortably. But instead of offering namaz there, namaz is deliberately offered in a Hindu dominated area. This mosque used to be a madrasa but later it was converted into a mosque. There can be no more construction than this. This is the reason why the controversy persists. He alleged that prayers are offered here deliberately to hurt the sentiments of Hindus. I myself had tweeted the video of offering Namaz on Twitter, after which the SSP, taking cognizance of the matter, has registered an FIR against the Namazis and the Mutallawi of the mosque. An assurance has also been given by the administration that from now on there will be no Namaz.
