70 people died of corona in the country in 24 hours

After 20,551 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in India in a day, the number of infected in the country increased to 4,41,07,588. At the same time, the number of patients under treatment decreased to 1,35,364. According to the updated data of the Ministry of Health, the death toll rose to 5,26,600 after 70 more people died due to infection in the country. The number of patients under treatment for Kovid-19 in the country has come down to 1,35,364, which is 0.31 percent of the total cases. In the last 24 hours, there was a decrease in the number of patients under treatment by 1,114. The national rate of recovery of patients is 98.50 percent. According to the updated data, the daily infection rate is 5.14 percent, while the weekly infection rate is 4.64 percent. So far, a total of 4,34,45,624 people have become infection free in the country and the death rate from Kovid-19 is 1.19 percent.
205 crore people in the country have received Kovid vaccines
Under the nationwide vaccination campaign, 205.59 crore doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccines have been given so far. Significantly, on 7 August 2020, the number of infected people in the country had exceeded 20 lakh, on 23 August 2020 30 lakh and on 5 September 2020, more than 40 lakh. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November. On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country.
Last year, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed 20 million and on June 23, 2021, it crossed 30 million. On January 25 this year, the cases of infection had crossed four crores. According to the ministry’s data, 70 cases of death due to infection were reported in the country in the last 24 hours, out of which seven in Maharashtra, four each in Delhi and West Bengal, three each in Karnataka and Punjab, Manipur, Odisha, Rajasthan, Two cases each were reported in Tripura and Uttar Pradesh and one each in Assam, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim and Uttarakhand. At the same time, under the guidelines of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Kerala put the names of 26 more people who lost their lives in the list of deaths due to infection.
