IPL Clasico: Star all-rounder Kieron Pollard, who was the most successful player of Mumbai Indians, has said goodbye to his IPL career. The West Indies veteran surprised everyone by announcing his retirement from this famous T20 league of India on Tuesday. On this occasion, Pollard wrote an emotional post remembering his memorable journey with Mumbai and also thanked the franchise.

Pollard made his debut for Mumbai Indians in 2010 and after that he was a part of this champion team for 13 seasons. During this, he also played many match-winning and memorable innings for Mumbai. The 35-year-old won the IPL five times and the Champions League twice as a player.

Pollard, who bowled medium pace along with explosive batting, may have come to an end as a player in the IPL, but he has got a new responsibility in this famous league. Mumbai Indians have appointed him as their new batting coach after announcing his retirement. Pollard has also thanked his team for this responsibility.

Pollard may continue to be a part of IPL but he will no longer be seen as a player and this is the reason why his fans got emotional and expressed their feelings on social media. Pollard is MI’s most successful player

Taking a look at Pollard’s IPL career, he made his debut for Mumbai Indians in 2010 and after that he remained a part of this five-time champion team. He played a total of 211 matches for Mumbai and scored 3915 runs at a strike rate of 147. He also took 79 wickets in bowling including Champions League and IPL.
