Two players of the team have been found positive in the Kovid test. Both these players could not fly to Birmingham due to being infected with the Karona virus.

The Indian team left for Birmingham on Sunday morning but these two players could not board the flight with the team. Cricket Board of India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly had earlier confirmed a member of the team to be positive.

Both the infected players almost out of the match against Australia, Pakistan

The Indian women’s team has to play its first match in the Commonwealth Games against Australia on Friday 29 July. At the same time, his second match will be with Arch Rival Pakistan on 31 July. Now it is almost impossible for both these players to be Kovid positive to play in these two matches.

Two players of Indian women’s team stayed in India

An Indian Olympic Association (IOA) official told PTI, “The second player has been found to be Kovid-19 positive and it happened before departure. Both the players have stayed in India itself.

The Indian women’s team will play their last league match against Barbados on August 3. All matches including the final will be played at Edgbaston. Organizers have said that tickets for the semi-finals and final have already been sold out.

The Indian women’s team trained at the National Cricket Association in Bengaluru for a few days before leaving for England. Before flying to Birmingham to take part in the Commonwealth Games, Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur said about playing in the Commonwealth Games, “We don’t get a chance to experience it very often so looking forward to it. The opening ceremony will be a special experience for all of us.”
