After this, Neha, Navneet Kaur and Lalremsiami could not score for India in the controversial penalty shootout while Ambrosia Malone, Amy Lawton and Caitlin Nobbs were on target for Australia.
Why did the controversy arise over umpiring?
Somewhere in India’s defeat, poor umpiring also played a big part. In fact, in the first shot of the shootout, Indian captain and goalkeeper Savita Poonia saved the first goal. But after that again it was found that the clock had not even started. Due to which Australia was given another chance and scored a goal in this opportunity. After this the Indian team went backward. Not even a single shot could go into the goal from India.
