A matter of discussion of secretly sending the dangerous King Cobra missing from Dehradun Zoo to Indore has come to the fore. Chief Wildlife Warden Dr. Sameer Sinha has called for a report from the zoo director in the matter. At the same time, Mohan Singh Rawat, Forest Officer of Doon Zoo, says that King Cobra was rescued and brought to Doon Zoo. After his full recovery, he is safely left in the forest of Rajaji Tiger Reserve.

After the incident of sending elephants from Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve in Uttarakhand to Gujarat without the permission of the central government, now the dangerous king cobra has disappeared from Doon Zoo. It is discussed that King Cobra has been sent to Indore secretly. Taking the matter seriously, Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal has ordered an inquiry to the Chief Wildlife Warden. On the other hand, Chief Wildlife Warden Dr. Sameer Sinha has called for a report from the zoo director in the matter. In this regard, Mohan Singh Rawat, Forest Officer of Doon Zoo says that King Cobra was rescued and brought to Doon Zoo. After his full recovery, he is safely left in the forest of Rajaji Tiger Reserve. He has categorically rejected the talk of sending King Cobra to Indore.

The species of these snakes in the zoo
On the instructions of the Government, Government and Forest Headquarters, the snake enclosure was first constructed at a cost of lakhs of rupees in the zoo and then one by one dangerous snakes were brought in it. At present, 10 species of dangerous snakes including Rock Python, Burmese Python, Reticulated Python, Indian Cobra, King Cobra have been kept in Doon Zoo. Many of these snakes were brought from other states like Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh.
