Dhananjay Y. Chandrachud’s career
Justice Chandrachud was born on 11 November 1959 and was elevated as a Supreme Court judge on 13 May 2016. Justice Chandrachud was a judge of the Bombay High Court from 29 March 2000 to 31 October 2013. After that he was appointed as the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court. Justice Chandrachud was named Senior Advocate by the Bombay High Court in June 1998 and was appointed Additional Solicitor General in the same year. He did his BA Honors in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. He did his LLB from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi and LLM from Harvard Law School, USA and holds a doctorate in Forensic Science.
