Drishyam 2 Movie Review: Ajay Devgan’s film ‘Drishyam 2’ sets a tone as soon as it starts. Drishyam, directed by Nishikant Kamat, takes us back to the events of October 2014 and what happened thereafter. At the same time, in Abhishek Pathak’s film ‘Drishyam 2’, it is being seen what the Salgaonkar family is doing after seven years. The audience was also waiting since last year that what is going to happen in this film. The audience was so enthralled by the film that people still remember the famous dialogue of the film on 2nd October. Before watching the film, see its detailed review here.
The film begins from where the story of the first part was. A full-fledged Salgaonkar family of 4 people is living happily but even after years when they come face to face with the Goa Police, they get scared. Seeing the beginning of the film, it seems that everything is right but here you will be defeated. Because now the whole story is ahead, which you cannot even imagine. The film sees Ajay Devgan as Vijay Salgaonkar, a cable operator-turned-theatre owner, who aspires to make a film. Vijay’s neighbors are shown loud. On the other hand, the Deshmukh family is in turmoil, Mahesh (Rajat Kapoor) has come out of his son’s death but Mira (Tabu) has not.
Meanwhile, Vijay’s elder daughter Anju (Ishita Dutta) suffers an anxiety attack and amidst all this comes the entry of SP Tarun Ahlawat (Akshaye Khanna) in Goa who is also a friend of Meera (Tabu). Akshay starts investigating this case again and once again puts the police in search of the dead body. Will the police be able to bring out the truth about Vijay’s family this time? Will Meera Deshmukh get to know the truth about Vijay’s family and the truth about her son’s death? For these questions you will have to watch the film.
Abhishek Pathak, the director of ‘Drishyam 2’ has done an amazing job. The climax of the film will win your heart. A time will come when you will start chewing your nails while sitting on your seat to know the story ahead. When the film catches pace, it will force you to hold your seat till the end. The background score of the film is its life, which makes each sequence interesting.
Ajay Devgan has breathed life into the character of Vijay this time too. Akshay will also surprise you as the investigating officer. When Tabu and Ajay appear together on screen, it is a different thrill. Saurabh Shukla, Neha Joshi, Kamlesh Sawant, Yogesh Soman have also given tremendous performances. The film goes on to show that our sympathies shift to the Salgaocar family, especially when we see Nandini (Shriya Saran), Anju (Ishita Dutta) and Anu (Mrunal Jadhav) on screen.
Overall, there are only a few parts in the film that will make you wonder why they are there, the rest of the film will not let you get up from your seat. You must have seen the first part of this film, then you must be watching this whole case like an eyewitness, in such a situation, you will definitely clap after seeing the end of the film. The climax of Drishyam 2 is one of the best. If you enjoyed watching Drishyam, then you will enjoy its sequel a lot.
