Recovered fresh empty sacks bearing the brand names of Paras etc. District Agriculture Officer (DAO) Arvind Kumar Choudhary said, “Govind Industries was given the license only to manufacture micronutrients and not to sell chemical fertilisers.” Seizure of chemical fertilizer is in violation of license conditions and appropriate legal action is being taken.

DM Mahendra Bahadur Singh said that the factory is violating the Fertilizer Control Order and the Essential Commodities Act and strict action will be initiated against the owners. The DM said that acting on a tip-off, the SDM, DSP and District Agriculture Officer were sent for a surprise inspection of the factory. The DM said that a notice was pasted on the door of the factory informing about the closure of the factory from October 21 to November 20.

The DM said, “However, when the raiding team entered the premises, many people were found engaged in packing DAP and potash fertilizers.” Seizures of urea, single super phosphate, sand, salt etc. besides boroughs of various reputed brands.
