Uttar Pradesh News: A massive fire broke out in a hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra on Wednesday morning, killing three people, including a doctor, in the incident. Police said that the doctor and his son and daughter, who lived on the second floor of the hospital, died in the fire. He said the doctor’s wife and another son were admitted to the hospital where their condition was critical. He said that the deceased has been identified as Dr Rajan Singh, the operator of the hospital, his son Rishi and daughter Shalu. He told that Dr Singh lived with his family on the second floor of the hospital building.
Police said that as soon as the information about the fire was received, the police and fire brigade team reached the spot and immediately started efforts to douse the fire. He said that firefighters were extinguishing the fire as well as evacuating people trapped in the hospital and they also saved four people from the spot. The fire brigade said that after receiving information that the doctor and his family were trapped on the second floor, the fire brigade team tried to rescue them, but by then they had come under fire, which led to their death.
On getting information about the incident, senior police and administrative officials reached the spot and the patients were taken out and sent to other hospitals. He said that the cause of the fire is not yet known. Police Inspector Jasveer Singh Sirohi of Shahganj police station said that four people were taken out of the hospital in critical condition and admitted to a private hospital.
