Gurugram Toll Plaza News: A case of hooliganism by the bouncers posted at the newly constructed Ghamroj toll plaza on the Gurugram-Sohna highway has come to light. In the complaint, Ritu Yadav, a resident of Raisina village in Gurugram, told the police that she was going from Raisina to Maruti Kunj in her car along with her husband and children. When she reached the toll plaza, she stopped the car and asked the toll personnel to remove the barrier. “But instead of removing the barrier, the toll bouncer threatened to kill us while allowing other vehicles to pass without any hindrance,” he alleged.
Ritu said, “At the toll plaza, her husband told an employee posted there that he is a local and lives in Raisina, a nearby village, so his toll is waived as per rules and does not take toll. The employee got angry on this matter and started abusing him. During this time, a vehicle was allowed to be removed without charging toll by removing the barricades in front of them. She said, “My husband was driving and when I got out of the car and started removing the barrier, a toll bouncer came and started beating me up. A few minutes later, another bouncer came running and jumped on the bonnet of our car. Later they started beating me and my husband and also misbehaved with us.”

The CCTV footage installed at the toll plaza clearly shows that as the victim jumped on the car, the bouncer started hurling punches directly at the woman standing outside, causing her to fall down. Seeing the attack on his wife, when the husband came out of the car, the accused bouncer also broke down. While the bouncer was throwing punches one after the other on the victims, other employees also reached there and they also started beating the couple.
Raids to nab the accused
After the complaint, an FIR has been registered at Bhondsi police station. SHO Inspector Devendra Kumar of Bhondsi police station said, “A case has been registered on the basis of the complainant and police is conducting raids to nab the accused. Further investigation is on.” “We have asked the toll plaza management to put up a board with the names of the villages whose residents are exempted from paying toll,” he said.
