Haryana News: The Vigilance Department has arrested four officers of the Audit and Accounts Branch of the Faridabad Municipal Corporation for paying crores of rupees to the contractor without getting the work done. Officials gave this information on Thursday. He said that the Joint Director of Audit (Audit) Branch Deepak Thapar, Senior Accounts Officer Vishal Kaushik, Finance Controller Satish Kumar and Senior Accounts Officer Hargulal Phagna were arrested in the case late on Wednesday night.
Sent in custody of Vigilance Department
Vigilance Department spokesperson said that Vishal Kaushik was nabbed from Yamunanagar, while the remaining three accused were arrested from different places in Faridabad. The four accused were produced in the court on Thursday, from where they were remanded in the custody of the Vigilance Department for a day, he said.

Sources in the Vigilance Department said that all the accused were posted in important positions in the Audit and Accounts Department during the scam. In this case, contractor Satbir, suspended chief engineer Daulatram Bhaskar and Raman Sharma and junior engineer Deepak have already been arrested. However, he has got bail from the court.
At the same time, according to another news, the Income Tax Department has unearthed black money of more than Rs 150 crore by raiding several business groups running hospitals in Haryana and Delhi-NCR. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) gave this information on Wednesday. The searches were launched on July 27 covering 44 premises of these groups. The identities of these groups were not disclosed.
