He served as the Union Minister of India from 1989 to 1991 and during this time he was also a Lok Sabha MP from Jhunjhunu. Before joining politics, Jagdeep Ghankhar used to be a lawyer by profession. Opposition’s Vice Presidential candidate Margaret Alva was born on 14 April 1942 in Mangaluru district of Karnataka. Alva comes from a Christian family.
