Visa granted by the intervention of the President of Guyana

Three matches of the five T20 series have been played between India and West Indies. After three matches, Team India is 2-1 ahead in the series. The next two matches of the series are to be played on Saturday 6 August and Sunday 7 August in Florida, USA. For this, the players of both the teams were facing problem in getting US visa, for which the President of Guyana had to intervene in this matter. According to the report of an Indian cricket website, Guyana President Irfan Ali intervened to get US visas for the players and staff of both the teams, after which both the teams got visas.

Visa got after interview of Rohit and Dravid

According to the report, to get the visa for the Indian team, team captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid had to give an interview at the US Embassy in Guyana. This interview was conducted on Wednesday 3 August. According to the information given, a total of 14 members, including the captain and coach of Team India, did not have US visas.

Rohit Sharma is fit

Rohit Sharma, who retired hurt after playing five balls while batting in the third T20 of the series at St Kitts, has become fit. He can be seen in the field as captain in the last two T20s to be held in Florida.
