Indian Immunologicals Limited’s FMD (Foot and Mouth Disease) vaccine has become the first such vaccine to be delivered by drone. The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Government of Arunachal Pradesh and Indian Immunologicals Limited (IIL) and drone service providers are going to transport it together. The first flight of the drone traveled from Roing to Pagalum in Arunachal Pradesh.

With its help, the vaccine will not only be delivered to remote areas quickly through drone delivery, but necessary vaccines can also be made available on time to protect animals from many diseases. Talking about Medicine from the sky, Dr. K.K., Managing Director, Indian Immunologicals Ltd. Anand Kumar said that this technique will be used to provide vaccines in far-flung areas of the country.
