All the teams have submitted their retained and released players list for IPL. Many big players were released and many players withdrew their names from next year’s IPL itself. Most of the players who have withdrawn their names include players from England and Australia. Meanwhile, another star batsman from England has withdrawn his name from IPL 2023.

England’s T20 World Cup winner Alex Hales has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League 2023. His franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) made the announcement on Tuesday. Hales will miss the next season of the IPL along with compatriot Sam Billings and Australian Test and ODI captain Pat Cummins. “We respect Sam Billings, Pat Cummins and Alex Hales’ decisions to skip next year’s IPL due to personal and national team commitments. We wish them all the best for the future,” KKR said in a tweet.

Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had suffered two setbacks. KKR bought Cummins in the mega auction for Rs 7.25 crore. Cummins had decided to skip next year’s IPL tournament citing busy international workload. Cummins said, “I have made the difficult decision to miss next year’s IPL. The international schedule for the next 12 months is packed with Tests and ODIs, so I will take some rest before the Ashes series and the ODI World Cup.” Earlier, Sam Billings also decided to opt out of the upcoming IPL season as he wants to focus on longer formats of the game. These three players are one of the deadliest players in T20 cricket. KKR will miss all three in the next season.
