Glenn Maxwell Injury: Royal Challengers Bangalore released the list of their retained players on Wednesday ahead of the IPL 2023 auction. The RCB team, which is famous for making changes in the team every time, surprised everyone by releasing the least five players this time. In this, most of the players were those who did not get a chance to play in the last season. The Bangalore team also kept the injured Australian all-rounder with them and reposed faith in him once again.

RCB, who reached the playoffs last season, have taken the risk of picking Maxwell despite his current form and a serious foot injury. But a day after the retention, the franchise’s Director of Cricket Operations Mike Hesson released a major update on Maxwell’s injury.

Hesson told on Wednesday that Maxwell will recover before next year’s IPL and will be available to play. Significantly, Maxwell had an accident during a birthday party in Melbourne after the T20 World Cup. Because of this, he has been asked to stay away from cricket for a long time.

Hesson told in a video released by RCB that Glenn Maxwell’s leg injury while going for retention was a matter of concern. But we got information that he will come before IPL next year.

Let us tell you that Maxwell has been a successful all-rounder in the T20 format. He has so far scored 814 runs in 28 matches for RCB at an average of 33.91.
