Taking action in the matter, the police have arrested the fake doctor Priya Ranjan Thakur and an FIR has been registered against him in Bisrakh police station. The MBBS degree with which the doctor was running this center was found to be fake in the investigation. After the death of the woman, the police started the investigation of this IVF center.

MBBS degree found fake in verification
“She fell ill during IVF treatment on August 19 and had to be shifted to another hospital, where she died on August 26,” police said. Thakur, the owner of the IVF centre, has been arrested in connection with the woman’s death. “During the investigation, Thakur’s medical certificates were verified. Bhupendra Narayan University in Madhepura, Bihar was mentioned in his MBBS degree of 2005, but the degree was found to be fake during verification.

Complaint filed soon after woman’s death
Soon after the woman’s death, her husband lodged a police complaint. The 40-year-old fake doctor has been booked under sections 338 (negligent act endangering human life) and 304 (death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code. Another FIR has been registered against Thakur under sections 420 (cheating), 467, 468 and 471 (all related to forgery) of the IPC after Thakur’s medical degree was found to be fake, the police said.
