Jammu Kashmir News: The Jammu and Kashmir Police has acknowledged the presence of around three terrorist groups in Rajouri and Poonch border districts, saying security forces are trying to wipe them out. Deputy Inspector General of Police (Rajouri-Poonch range) Haseeb Mughal said that daily search and cordon operations are going on in the border areas so that people have a sense of security and they can carry on with their normal activities without any fear.

Two terrorists killed in a four-hour encounter

On August 11, two suspected terrorists of Pakistan’s Jaish-e-Mohammed carried out a suicide attack on an army camp in Rajouri in the early hours, marking the return of suicide attacks in Jammu and Kashmir after more than three years. After an encounter that lasted for nearly four hours that day, both the terrorists were killed but five soldiers were also martyred. After that attack (of 11 August), security was beefed up and an alert was sounded in view of the presence of two or three more terrorist groups in the Pir Panjal area.

Absolutely negligible cooperation towards terrorists
Haseeb Mughal said that the terrorist organizations are being monitored by security agencies and surveillance is being done to eliminate them soon. “(Within a week after the first attack) there was an encounter with a similar group but it escaped taking advantage of bad weather and dense forest,” he said. is not equal.
