Jharkhand NewsUnion Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Saturday that the government is working towards the development of three new airports in Jharkhand. Scindia flagged off the first direct flight from Deoghar in Jharkhand to Delhi. After this, he said that preparations are on to build three big airports in Jharkhand. Preparations are being made to build this airport in Bokaro, Jamshedpur and Dumka of the state. With this, the number of airports operating in Jharkhand will increase to five.

14 new air routes were also announced

Scindia said in a release that 14 new routes have also been announced to connect Jharkhand by air. Out of these, flights from Kolkata and Delhi to Deoghar have started. In the coming time, flights will also start from Deoghar to Ranchi and Patna. Scindia said, “With this we will also connect Dumka with Ranchi and Kolkata. Once the Bokaro airport is completed, it will be connected to Patna and Kolkata.

Airport built at a cost of Rs 400 crore

He said that the airport has been built at Deoghar at a cost of Rs 400 crore. After its construction, there will be a lot of convenience for the devotees coming to visit Baba Baidyanath Dham. The first flight from Deoghar operated for Delhi, which was commanded by former Civil Aviation Minister and trained pilot Rajiv Pratap Rudy. Indigo airline is using A320 Neo aircraft for this flight.
