Supported BJP in Rajya Sabha elections: Khattar

On this occasion, CM Khattar welcomed the Bishnoi couple to the BJP and said that he was in constant touch with Kuldeep Bishnoi and he supported the BJP in the Rajya Sabha elections. He claimed that Bishnoi has joined the BJP without any conditions. Significantly, Bishnoi was already angry with the Congress party. Earlier this year, he had taken a rebellious stand after he was not appointed as the chief of the Haryana unit of the Congress. After this, Congress removed Bishnoi from all party posts due to ‘cross voting’ in the Rajya Sabha elections held in June.

Resigned from Adampur seat

Bishnoi (53), an MLA from Adampur seat in Haryana’s Hisar district, on Wednesday resigned from the assembly membership. Former Haryana Chief Minister late Bhajan Lal’s younger son Kuldeep Bishnoi is breaking ties with the Congress for the second time. He joined the Congress again about six years ago after parting ways with the party. Bishnoi and his father Bhajan Lal formed the Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) in 2007 after Bhupinder Singh Hooda was made the chief minister after the Congress victory in the state in 2005. The HJC later forged an alliance with the BJP and two other parties and contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections together in Haryana. However, this alliance broke before the assembly elections.
