Lucknow: A young woman working in a private bank in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh hanged herself to death. According to reports, the body of a 28-year-old girl was found hanging from the noose in a rented room in Krishna Nagar area on Monday. The young woman was to get married two weeks later, and she was reportedly not happy with it. Giving information about this, the police said that the deceased has been identified as Priyanka Srivastava.

‘The girl was in depression after fixing the marriage’

According to the information given by the police, the girl was in depression after her brother fixed her marriage against her wishes. The girl’s mother and father had died a few years back. She lived in a rented house near the house of her elder brother and sister-in-law. When the door of the girl’s room did not open till noon on Monday and she did not come out, the landlord kept on knocking on the door for a long time and after not getting a reply, informed the police.

‘The marriage of the girl was fixed on November 25’
When the police entered his room, he found a suicide note, which read, ‘Bye-bye family members, take it now, get married.’ SHO Krishna Nagar Vikram Singh said that she was living alone in a rented flat and her marriage was fixed on November 25. The brother of the deceased told that they had fixed the marriage of the girl and she did not want to get married, and was often unhappy. The police have seized the mobile phone of the girl and said that further action is being taken.
