Mamta Banerjee: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is coming to Delhi on a four-day visit today i.e. on Thursday. According to sources, Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Banerjee is likely to meet senior leaders during this period. Apart from this, she will participate in a meeting of NITI Aayog on August 7. Mamata Banerjee is expected to reach Delhi by Thursday afternoon. After this, she will hold a meeting with TMC MPs in the evening. Significantly, in the current session of Parliament, TMC MPs are fiercely opposing the central government and its policies regarding various issues including inflation.
May meet PM Modi
According to sources, Banerjee is scheduled to visit the Central Hall of Parliament and also meet several opposition leaders. Mamta Banerjee may meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Banerjee is also expected to meet President Draupadi Murmu. The Chief Minister of West Bengal can also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding various issues related to the state.
Will participate in the meeting of NITI Aayog
In fact, the Prime Minister will chair a meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog on August 7 in which issues related to agriculture, health and economy will be discussed. This meeting of the council is held regularly. Its first meeting was held on 8 February 2015. Mamata Banerjee did not attend this meeting last year.
