Noida: A big step has been taken to overcome the problems related to dogs in Gautam Budh Nagar district of UP. Now the authority can build a shelter home on its land to take care of sick and stray dogs here. Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari has given this information.

Ritu said, “In view of the various problems being faced in the Noida Authority area regarding dogs, instructions have been given that where there is a demand for a shelter home or feeding point, the authority will own the land with the consent of AOA or RWA. But a shelter home can be built.

He said, ‘Sick stray dogs will be kept in these shelter homes. These will be maintained by AOA or RWA. Registration of pet dogs is mandatory in Noida, in which the last date of 31 January 2023 has been given, till then those who do not register will be fined.

There is such a fine for dog bite in Noida

Earlier, the Noida Authority had made a new and strict guideline regarding dog rearing. The authority had issued guidelines regarding pet and stray dogs, cats. For this the guidelines of Animal Welfare Board of India were followed. According to the new rule, now a fine of 10 thousand rupees will be charged from the owner for the bite of a pet dog. Along with this, the responsibility of getting the complete treatment of the victim will also be on the owner of the dog.

Dogs will no longer be able to be raised without registration

Now the Noida Authority had also made it mandatory to get the registration done for keeping a dog. Without this, a fine will be imposed for keeping a dog or cat. The registration for this will be started in January 2023. All pet dog and cat owners will be required to get registered before January 31. Otherwise the authority will start imposing fine on them. The amount of fine will be recovered on monthly basis.

If the dog littered here and there then the owner is responsible

According to the new rule, now if the dog litters the side of the road or on the road, then action will be taken against their owners. If the dog spreads dirt and foul smell in any such public place, then the owner will have to get it cleaned. Otherwise the owner will be fined by the authority. Similarly, the responsibility of getting treatment for any person or animal bitten has also been given to the owner. In addition, he will also have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000.
