According to the old rules, the flag could be hoisted from sunrise to sunset, but according to the new rule, now the tricolor can be hoisted even at night. Let us tell you that the Government of India has amended the rules of Flag of Code of India. Flying, displaying or using the flag in the country comes under the Flag Code of India 2002 and the Prevention of Insults to National Pride Act, 1971. The Government of India has changed this law on 20 July. Since then we have got the freedom to hoist the tricolor even at night.
