The English opening pair of captain Jos Buttler and Alex Hales chased the target on the Adelaide Oval pitch with 24 balls to spare in just 16 overs. It was this stormy performance, due to which England is being told as the favorite in the final match against Pakistan. Pakistan captain Babar Azam also admitted in the pre-match press conference that it will be a tough challenge for him in the final and his team will have to give their best.

Babar said, “England are a good team, they have many good players and they have quality fast bowlers and batsmen. So we will try our best to execute our plans and wait for the match.”

He added, “Their win against India was a strong link to reach the final. Our strategy is to stick to our plan and use our pace attack as our strength to win the final.”

Babar Azam wants his team to continue their winning streak. They had lost their two opening matches against India and Zimbabwe in the journey so far, after which they came back strongly and won four matches in a row. Pakistan made it to the final after registering a stunning seven-wicket win over New Zealand in the semi-finals. The Pakistani captain wants to continue this consistency in the title match as well.
Babar said, “We have lost the first two matches but the way we have come back in the last four matches, we have done very well. We have played good cricket in the last four matches and we are looking to maintain that pace in the final. Will try.”

Babar Azam said that his boys are playing like lions and amidst the support of Pakistani fans at the MCG, the players of the team will attack the England team in the same manner.
