Partha Chatterjee: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday hit out at the party over allegations of corruption against arrested former Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Partha Chatterjee. The BJP said that the party, which raised slogans of ‘Maa, Maati, Manush’, now only raises slogans of ‘Paisa, Paisa, Paisa’. BJP leader and Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi made a big allegation on Bada Parth during the press conference. Lekhi said Chatterjee, arrested in the school recruitment scam case, “has bought a luxurious flat in Kolkata to keep his pet dogs”.

BJP leader and Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi said, “I want to remind the people of the country that those who often chant ‘Maa, Maati, Manush’ are speaking only one word today – paisa, paisa, Money.” Meenakshi Lekhi claimed that Partha Chatterjee has bought a luxurious flat in Kolkata to keep his pet dogs. Minister Partha Chatterjee, arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the school recruitment scam, was sacked by the West Bengal government on Thursday.
Partha Chatterjee removed from all cabinet and party posts
Explain that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) sacked minister Partha Chatterjee, who was arrested in the school recruitment scam, by the West Bengal government. Simultaneously, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) announced the suspension of Chatterjee from the party and his removal from all posts. Chatterjee was removed from all party posts and suspended from the Trinamool Congress.
Mamta will handle Parth’s portfolio for some time
“Parth Chatterjee has been relieved with immediate effect from his duties as Minister in charge of the Department of Industries, Commerce and Enterprise, Department of Information Technology and Electronics, Department of Parliamentary Affairs and Department of Public Enterprises and Industrial Reconstruction,” an official order said. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said during a government function that the portfolios of sacked minister Partha Chatterjee would remain with her for some time.
