A photograph of Bollywood actress Sunny Leone was found printed on the hall ticket of a candidate for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET-2022) held on November 6 in Karnataka. After this the screenshot of the admit card started going viral on social media. People made memes fiercely about the examination department. When the department came to know about this, it immediately came into action mode. The Education Department has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
What did the police say?
Let us tell you that this mess came to the fore in Rudrappa College when a candidate showed his hall ticket containing the picture of the actress, after which the college principal lodged a complaint with the cyber crime police. While probing the matter, the police said that this error must have happened at the time of uploading the photograph while filling the application for the examination online. The candidate said that he had not filled the online application but had asked other people to fill it for him.
What statement did the education department give?
The Education Department said in a statement that the candidates have to apply online, for which ‘User ID and Password’ is given which is exclusively with the candidate and no one else can tamper with it. The department said that it does not have any role in generating the hall ticket for the examination as it is done by the candidates only. In its clarification, the Public Instruction Department said, “Whatever the media shows on this issue, the department has no role in it. Still, we have requested the police to investigate the matter and take action against those responsible for the incident.
