Pakistan is working on a dangerous plan to send huge quantity of drugs to India to ruin our young generation. According to a report, more than 50 thousand kg of drugs like heroin, opium, brown sugar and metha-ampheta-mine have been sent to India from Pakistan this year.
In my primetime show ‘Aaj Ki Baat’, which aired on India TV on Monday night, we showed a live video of an encounter between a joint team of Coast Guard (Coast Guard) and Gujarat Police ATS (Anti-Terrorist Squad) and drug smugglers. The encounter took place near the Gujarat coast amid the rising waves of the sea. We also played an audio clip of a conversation between two alleged smugglers about how difficult it is for them to bring drugs into India by sea.
In the dark nights, these smugglers try to enter the coastal area of India carrying drugs in small boats. Coast Guard and Gujarat ATS are continuously nabbing drug smugglers coming in boats from Pakistan near the coast of Kutch area of Gujarat.
It was clearly visible in the video how the Coast Guard traces the motor boat through searchlights and flares and then a joint team of ATS and Coast Guard warns the smugglers to surrender. The operation took place near the International Maritime Boundary Line. It is very difficult to estimate the border of any country in the sea and that too at night.
The searchlight in the video was on a large motor boat named ‘Al Haj’ which was moving from Pakistan to India. The boat was traced through active surveillance. When the drug smugglers started running away by taking advantage of the darkness of night even after giving repeated warnings and asking to surrender, the Coast Guard ship chased them and with the warning of surrender, firing also started to catch the fleeing smugglers. happened. Due to continuous firing and warnings, the drug smugglers realized that they would not be able to escape, so eventually they surrendered.
9 Pakistani smugglers caught with 56 kg heroin from the boat. The total value of heroin caught from the boat in the international market is around Rs 280 crore. This was a big success of Gujarat ATS and Coast Guard. The boat in which the drug was being smuggled is called a launch in the language of maritime trade. Pipes were loaded in this launch. The drugs were kept hidden inside the pipe, so that if you look at the top, it is not known that there may be drugs inside the pipe as well. Those who were arrested during this operation included the son of Pakistan’s big drug smuggler Haji Hasan and his son-in-law.
During the interrogation of Pakistani smugglers caught during the operation, it was found that the ‘receiver’ of these drugs sent from Pakistan is present in Delhi. These drugs were to be supplied from Delhi to Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. This information was shared by the Gujarat ATS with the NCB, following which raids were conducted in Delhi’s Jamia Nagar, Shaheen Bagh and Western Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar. Another 351 kg of heroin has been recovered from all these places. With such a huge quantity of drugs, India’s drug mafia Razi Haider, Imran and Avtar Singh alias Sunny were caught.
Following information from Indian smugglers, 100 kg of heroin was also seized near the Wagah-Attari border of India-Pakistan. Search is on for some more accused in this case. In the investigation so far, it has been found that heroin from Afghanistan was being sent to India via Iran and Pakistan. This heroin from Gujarat was brought to the areas around Delhi and diluted, that is, their dosage was lightened. For this work, a citizen of Afghanistan was also specially kept in Delhi by the drug mafia. The police have now arrested Afghan.
Gujarat ATS DIG Deepan Bhadran told India TV correspondent Nishayan Kapoor that in the last two years, his squad has arrested 65 drug smugglers, including 30 Pakistanis, 17 Iranians, 2 Afghans and one Nigerian. Bhadran said that during the last 6 months, 25,700 kg of drugs worth several thousand crores have been seized.
Drug smugglers sitting in Pakistan are doing away with the supply of drugs by sea. In the show ‘Aaj Ki Baat’, we played an audio clip of a conversation between 2 alleged Pakistani smugglers who were saying that now it is very difficult to send drugs to India.
In the audio clip, the caller says to a person named Hashimbhai, ‘Salaam Alaikum Bhaijaan. How are you? All right, are you having fun? How are you? Look Hashim bhai, I have had a meeting for about one and a half to two hours. Called that person too. He called his people too. No one is ready to go to that point. He said, leave 190 miles, India is roaming even after 400 miles. at 400 miles. Is it ok! This is its biggest maingate and said who will go here. Moving on 15 too. These are 20, aren’t they? Also moving in 14 and 15. Its round seems to be here right now. And it is absolutely impossible, do not take this work in your hands. Because it can’t happen from here at all. Because if any person removes the Iranian car from here, then I do not think that this vehicle will be successful. Because if the prisoners are caught, Allah forbids with the goods, or else that is a big problem. The thing is that even after having a meeting for two days, I have caught even the boldest of the bold. No one is ready to leave. He is saying that if you want to commit suicide then do it. So those people said that this is not just a matter of Iranian launches. Ok.’
In the second part of the audio clip, the caller says, ‘As much as you can, you know yourself too. And that is Jamnagar, Rajkot, Porbandar and these are 200 miles away. Not even that much, it’s 180 or 200 miles away. He said, Brother, it is absolutely impossible here. Said there is not even one percent chance of survival here, there is not even one percent chance of survival. The question does not arise that even one percent should escape from here. Said who does not like money? five people. Goods. If the goods arrive, no one will get the money. If people survive, they will do this work. So these are the circumstances. You yourself are smart. You know everyone Get to know a little about the things about this area. That is the launch of our Iran, it has become very dangerous. There is only one route, that is left for them, that too has to be escaped. This route is impossible, tell my brother. Is it ok. We are saying that leave this work for now according to the launch. Second, if he has a ship coming out of Iran, neither he also comes within his range. It has become so dangerous.’
On Monday, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra made almost identical tweets, questioning the government. Rahul Gandhi tweeted: 3,000 kg of drugs worth Rs 21,000 cr seized in Sept 2021 at Mundra Port in Gujarat, 56 kg of drugs worth Rs 500 cr seized in May 2022 & 75 kg of drugs worth Rs 375 cr seized in July 2022 Went. Who are the people sitting in the double engine government who are continuously giving patronage to the drug-liquor mafia? Why are the youth of Gujarat being forced into drugs? My questions: 1. How is the drugs landing at the same port continuously, despite the seizure of drugs at the same port 3 times? 2. Is there law and order in Gujarat? Mafia has no fear of law? Or is this mafia government? AAP MP Sanjay Singh asked, ‘Has Mundra port become a haven for drug smugglers?’
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra reacted to this, ‘Recall that the biggest terrorist attack on India took place through the sea under Congress rule. Rahul Gandhi was busy partying with his friends when the Mumbai terror attacks took place and today he is raising questions.
India TV correspondent asked DIG Deepan Bhadran about this. “This year there has been a lot of opium cultivation in Afghanistan and Iran. Drug smuggling has increased after the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan. This is the reason why a large quantity of drugs are being caught in India too.
Home Minister Amit Shah has adopted a strict policy against drugs. On July 30, the Narcotics Control Bureau, in the virtual presence of Shah, torched over 30,000 kg of confiscated narcotics in Delhi, Chennai, Guwahati and Kolkata from Chandigarh. Amit Shah said, ‘Last year we had taken a pledge to destroy 75,000 kg of narcotics, and now I am happy to say that till date we have burnt 82,000 kg of narcotics and by August 15, one lakh kg Will reach the figure of Rs.
Shah said, 81 per cent of the drugs come by sea, but now the government has closed all avenues to eliminate the drug trade. “Protecting youth from the ravages of drugs and stopping smuggling are both very important,” he said.
I will praise Amit Shah for taking strict action against drug mafia. So far, more than double the quantity of smuggled drugs has been confiscated under the current government as compared to the UPA regime. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had last year set a target of confiscation of drugs worth Rs 1 lakh crore by August 15 this year, and Home Minister Amit Shah is working hard to achieve that target.
These are not mere figures. This is a task to save the country from a very big danger. How dangerous are these drugs, you will come to know only by meeting those family members whose own one gets caught in the trap of drug addiction. I have seen many families ruined because of drugs. Who doesn’t know who made ‘Laughs Khele Punjab’ ‘Udta Punjab’? School and college students used to have ‘rave parties’ in hostels and events where drugs were used indiscriminately.
I think the issue of drugs is something against which the government and the opposition should fight together. The youth easily become victims of drugs and the country becomes hollow. This is such an issue on which leaders should think above party politics, should speak above politics.
At a time when security agencies are risking their lives to nab smugglers and thwart Pakistani designs, Rahul Gandhi’s linking of seizure of drugs to connivance with smugglers is surprising. They should appreciate our security forces. (Rajat Sharma)
