India TV Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Rajat Sharma was recently honored by the California State Assembly for his commendable contribution in the field of journalism. Rajat Sharma was awarded the ‘Certificate of Recognition’ by the California State Assembly for his commendable work in ‘journalism that advances equality, social justice and global peace’.
The California State Assembly had earlier also honored spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar with a ‘Certificate of Recognition’. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was awarded for his efforts towards building a stress free world by promoting love, peace and harmony through yoga and meditation. The Government of India has already honored Rajat Sharma with Padma Bhushan.
Rajat Sharma receives special honor from California State Assembly.
According to a recent report by Make Rack, Rajat Sharma is the most followed Indian journalist on Twitter globally. He has more than three and a half decades of experience in the field of journalism. He was awarded an honorary doctorate by Kumaun University in 2020.
Rajat Sharma’s popular show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ is the longest running TV show in India. Since 1993, more than 1000 personalities have participated as guests in this interview program with court room setup. These include from the Prime Minister to many politicians, film stars, sports personalities, singers and religious leaders.
Rajat Sharma also presents daily night primetime show ‘Aaj Ki Baat’ on India TV from Monday to Friday. Its viewership is in lakhs and the show tops the news rating charts every week.
