The Aam Aadmi Party led by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is now facing new problems. Kanchan Jariwala, who was given ticket by the party in the Gujarat assembly elections, has withdrawn her name. The Aam Aadmi Party had alleged that its candidate had been kidnapped. In Delhi, the Anti-Corruption Bureau has arrested three people, including a relative of the AAP MLA, in the ‘Cash for Ticket’ case.
Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials said AAP activist Shobha Khari’s husband Gopal Khari had lodged a complaint that AAP MLA Akhilesh Pati Tripathi had demanded Rs 90 lakh in exchange for his wife getting a ticket in the MCD elections.
ACB officials said, “Complainant Gopal Khari had alleged that he had given Rs 35 lakh to Akhilesh Pati Tripathi and Rs 20 lakh to AAP MLA from Wazirpur Rajesh Gupta as bribe. Based on this complaint, the ACB team swung into action and arrested Om Singh, who is said to be a relative of Akhilesh Pati Tripathi, his PA Shiv Shankar Pandey alias Vishal Pandey and a third person, Prince Raghuvanshi, and recovered Rs 22 lakh in cash. ‘
Arvind Kejriwal’s claim of staunch honesty has been questioned as soon as the video of cash for ticket surfaced. It is clearly visible in this video that money is being exchanged to get AAP ticket in MCD elections. This video is such a proof that the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party could not say that their people did not exchange money for tickets. They don’t know how to react to this.
First of all let me tell you about the ‘cash for ticket’ scam. It is alleged that two MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party, Akhilesh Pati Tripathi and Rajesh Gupta, demanded Rs 90 lakh to get ticket in MCD elections. Out of this, Rs 55 lakh was taken as advance. Told to take the remaining amount after the work is done. Anti-Corruption Bureau officials claim that Shivshankar Pandey is the representative of Akhilesh’s husband Tripathi and he was also issued an assembly pass.
Actually this matter came to light on the complaint of Gopal Khari, an old worker of Aam Aadmi Party. Gopal Khari had complained to the ACB that he wanted his wife Shobha Khari to contest the MCD elections. He applied to get Aam Aadmi Party ticket. After this, on November 9, he met Aam Aadmi Party MLA Akhilesh Pati Tripathi from Model Town assembly seat. Gopal Khari alleges that Akhilesh’s husband Tripathi and Rajesh Gupta had demanded 90 lakh rupees in lieu of getting his wife a ticket. Gopal Khari told the ACB that he gave Rs 35 lakh to Akhilesh Pati Tripathi and Rs 20 lakh to Aam Aadmi Party MLA Rajesh Gupta from Wazirpur seat. Gopal Khari claims that his representative Om Singh and PA Shivshankar Pandey took this amount on behalf of the MLAs.
Now the question is, how did this whole matter come to light? Actually what happened was that even after giving the money, when Gopal Khari felt that his wife was not going to get the ticket, he started pressurizing Akhilesh’s husband Tripathi to return the money. Akhilesh’s husband Tripathi sent Rs 33 lakh out of Rs 35 lakh to Gopal Khari through Om Singh and Prince Raghuvanshi. When Akhilesh husband Tripathi’s man reached Gopal Khari to return the money, Gopal Khari made a video of it.
In this video, Gopal Khari is seen talking to Om Singh on the phone and saying that the money returned is two lakh less. He said, ‘One bundle of two thousand notes is less.’ Om Singh said that he would find out. While talking to Om Singh, Gopal Khari made Prince Raghuvanshi, who came with the money, count the money again and again told Om Singh that two lakhs were short. In another video, Om Singh is giving clarification on not getting ticket to Gopal Khari’s wife. Om Singh told Gopal Khari that two Gujjars could not be fielded on one seat, probably because of this the ticket was not given. Gopal Khari handed over these videos to the ACB as evidence. On the basis of these evidences, the ACB arrested three people and recovered Rs 22 lakh.
BJP leader Kapil Mishra alleged that the money was meant for Kejriwal and his associate Durgesh Pathak. Kapil Mishra said- ‘AAP leader was selling tickets for MCD elections. The Kejriwal government wants to bring the Kejriwal model of corruption in the corporation.
BJP MP from South Delhi Ramesh Vidhuri alleged that there are not only two MLAs demanding 90 lakhs in exchange for tickets. He said- ‘In this case the names of three more MLAs of Kejriwal’s party are coming to the fore. He challenged Kejriwal to expel both MLAs Akhileshpati Tripathi and Rajesh Gupta from the party.
When the matter escalated and rhetoric started, Manish Sisodia gave clarification. Sisodia said- ‘Who gave the money and who took it, it is not a big deal. The big thing is that even after giving the money, the Aam Aadmi Party ticket was not given. This news is good news for Aam Aadmi Party. This is proof that tickets are not sold in Aam Aadmi Party. Tickets are not available even after paying. Om Singh and Shiv Shankar Pandey have been sent to police custody for two days, while Prince Raghuvanshi has been sent to judicial custody. Congress leader Alka Lamba lambasted Kejriwal and asked, ‘Where is his Lokpal and his honesty now? Why is Kejriwal silent?’
On the other hand, the complainant Gopal Khari is now fearing for his life. Khari said that he has been receiving death threats.
I want to remind Arvind Kejriwal that in 2013 when he took over as the CM of Delhi, how he appealed to the people that if someone asks for bribe, give it and make a video of it. Gopal Khari remembered this formula of Kejriwal and did the same. When Kejriwal was contesting elections, he used to say that if a leader of a party gives a note in exchange for a vote, then take it quietly, but don’t vote. The MLAs of his party drank it after mixing it. Took money from Gopal Khari in exchange for the ticket but did not give the ticket.
Sisodia is openly saying that even after giving money in Aam Aadmi Party, ticket is not available. But in this matter Kejriwal and Sisodia should understand one thing. The one who takes money for tickets, gives money, counts notes, makes videos, complains to police, all are people of Aam Aadmi Party. Kejriwal cannot hold BJP responsible for this even if he wants to. Because everything is recorded in video. That’s why I was shocked to see videos of people calling themselves staunchly honest.
Another area of concern for Kejriwal was in Surat, about 1,100 km from Delhi. Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia alleged that one of their candidates has been kidnapped by BJP in Surat, he is missing. But by Wednesday evening, AAP candidate Kanchan Jariwala came on camera and said that no one had kidnapped her. He has decided to leave the election field under the pressure of his supporters. Jariwala rejected the allegations of kidnapping.
In fact, there was a buzz in Surat that the candidate of Kejriwal’s party might leave the field. When the news spread, all the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party became active but Kanchan Jariwala went underground. He was not in touch with the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party. Jariwala went to the Returning Officer’s office, withdrew his nomination and appeared before the media within five minutes. Kejriwal tweeted, “With the help of goons and police, candidates are being abducted and their nominations are being returned.” This type of public hooliganism has never been seen in India. Then what is the meaning of election? Then democracy is over. ,
Aam Aadmi Party’s Gujarat in-charge Raghav Chadha tweeted, ‘See how police and BJP goons together dragged our Surat East candidate Kanchan Jariwala to the Returning Officer’s office, and forced him to withdraw his nomination. did . The words ‘free and fair elections’ have become a joke!’
In Delhi, Manish Sisodia along with party workers sat on a dharna outside the Election Commission headquarters. Later, an AAP delegation met Election Commission officials and submitted a memorandum. The Election Commission sent AAP’s memorandum to the Chief Electoral Officer of Gujarat.
Aam Aadmi Party’s Gujarat unit president Gopal Italia alleged that Kanchan Jariwala has been missing since Tuesday when the scrutiny of nominations was underway. Italia said, ‘He came to the Returning Officer’s office surrounded by BJP people. Jariwala was threatened and beaten up. He did not withdraw his nomination of his own free will.
The video of Jariwala’s meeting with the Returning Officer makes it clear whether he was under any pressure or not. In the video, the Returning Officer clearly and repeatedly asked Kanchan Jariwala whether there is any pressure, no fear, no greed, no greed. On this Jariwala said- ‘I am withdrawing my nomination on my own free will and without any pressure. I do not say nothing.’
India TV reporter spoke to Kanchan Jariwala. He said, ‘I was neither intimidated nor threatened by anyone, nor was I abducted. Due to pressure from supporters, I was at my relative’s house. Supporters were angry with him contesting the election on Aam Aadmi Party ticket. That’s why he withdrew the form after talking to family and supporters.
AAP leader Raghav Chadha, who reached Surat, said, ‘Whatever Jariwala may claim, he was under a lot of pressure. Till three days ago, he was campaigning fiercely, what happened in the last 24 hours that he started saying such things and withdrew his nomination. Hooliganism is happening, there is ‘Jungle Raj’ in Gujarat and the police are silently watching everything.
Now staunch honest leader tell who kidnapped, who got Jariwala to return the form and who committed hooliganism. Those who make allegations are also leaders of Aam Aadmi Party and those who answer are also leaders of Aam Aadmi Party. Whom should the public believe now? (Rajat Sharma)
