New Delhi/Varanasi: The hearing on Kashi’s Gyanvapi dispute today has been postponed again. The hearing will now take place on December 5. This hearing is to be held from Delhi to Varanasi. The district court of Varanasi is hearing a petition seeking daily worship of Mother Shringar Gauri. This hearing is to be held in the court of District Judge Ajay Krishna Vishwesh. At the same time, the second hearing will be held in the Supreme Court in which the demand for protection of Shivling will be made. Both the petitions have been filed on behalf of the Hindu side.
Petition was filed for daily worship of Shringar Gauri
Let us inform that 5 petitioner women had filed a petition from the district court for permission to worship mother Shringar Gauri daily. The survey was conducted during the hearing of this petition. During the survey, the Hindu side claimed to have found a Shivling. After this, the Supreme Court had ordered the protection of the alleged Shivling found in the Gyanvapi complex. Since this period is coming to an end on Saturday, the Hindu side has appealed in the highest court of the country to continue the protection. The Supreme Court had also allowed Muslims to offer Namaz at the Gyanvapi Mosque.
Supreme Court will constitute a special bench
On May 17, the Supreme Court passed an interim order directing the district magistrate of Varanasi to ensure security of the area inside the Gyanvapi-Sringar Gauri complex. Apart from hearing on the protection of Shivling, today the Supreme Court is also going to constitute a special bench. This special bench will hear the Gyanvapi case and will be constituted by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud. This special bench can hear extensively on the Gyanvapi dispute. BJP has welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision to set up a special bench.
