Bilaspur: central minister Smriti Irani Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of accompanying him during the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, a man who is said to have shown the way to Pakistani terrorists before the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Addressing the ‘Mahatari Hunkar’ rally organized by BJP Mahila Morcha to protest against the increasing incidents of crime against women in Chhattisgarh, Union Women and Child Development Minister Irani also took a dig at Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and said that his interest is in the interest of the people of the state. There is more in serving the Gandhi family than in serving.

Irani said, “From the day we left Amethi Rahul Gandhi Since then he has set out on a ‘Yatra’ of the country, which has not yet been completed.’ He was referring to Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. The Union Minister said, “His journey is still on. In Tamil Nadu he was seen with a man who said ‘you will fall ill when you step on Indian soil’. Whereas in Kerala, he was seen with a man who had slaughtered a cow and posted his pictures with him on the internet.
He said, “Congress leaders in their journey accompanied some people who declared that there should be a plebiscite in Kashmir. When he went ahead, the grandson of the Gandhi family walked with a man who is said to have shown the way to Pakistani terrorists when there was a Pakistani attack in Mumbai.
‘Bhupesh Sarkar more interested in how to rob the vault’
Irani said that even after the departure of such people in her visit with Rahul Gandhi, none of the Congress party leaders including Bhupesh Baghel ji said anything on this and they all remained silent. The Union Minister alleged that the ruling Congress in Chhattisgarh is looting public money. He asked, “Bhupesh ji’s remote is being controlled by whom, Sonia ji or Soumya ji.” Irani said, “Congress leaders should explain why 6,000 women were raped during Congress rule. Why are tribal women unsafe under Congress rule. Why did Bhupesh Sarkar snatch their houses from 16 lakh families. Bhupesh Sarkar is not interested in the welfare of the public, but is more interested in how to rob the people’s coffers.

The Union minister accused the Chhattisgarh government of failing to properly implement the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in the state and asked “why did the Congress snatch 16 lakh houses of poor people.” Former Chief Minister Raman Singh, State BJP President Arun Saw, Leader of Opposition Narayan Chandel and other BJP leaders and women workers participated in the Mahtari Hunkar rally organized at Nehru Chowk in Bilaspur city of Chhattisgarh. Earlier, BJP Mahila Morcha took out a rally from Jagmal Chowk to Nehru Chowk in the city.
