- Kedar Dighe made Thane district unit head
- Pradeep Shinde appointed as the President of Thane Municipal Unit
Maharashtra Politics: Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday appointed Kedar Dighe, nephew of late leader Anand Dighe, as the chief of the party’s Thane district unit. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who hails from Thane, is leading a group of rebel Shiv Sena MLAs. Anand Dighe is believed to have been Shinde’s guide. The post of Shiv Sena’s Thane district unit president was vacant after Naresh Mhaske resigned in support of Shinde. Anita Birje, a close aide of Anand Dighe and who heads the Shiv Sena’s women’s wing, has been appointed as the ‘deputy leader’. Party secretary Vinayak Raut said in a statement that Pradeep Shinde has been appointed as the president of the Thane city unit of Shiv Sena.
With Uddhav Thackeray’s nephew Eknath Shinde
Eknath Shinde had not only broken into Uddhav Thackeray’s party Shiv Sena, now he has also broken into his family. Uddhav Thackeray’s nephew Nihar Thackeray has gone to the shelter of new Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde. Nihar Thackeray is the son of late Bindumadhav Thackeray, who died in an accident in 1996. There is also an introduction of Nihar Thackeray that he is also the son-in-law of BJP leader Harshvardhan Patil. He is married to Patil’s daughter Ankita. It is believed that Nihar did this because after the death of Balasaheb, Uddhav Thackeray was not giving him the importance that he used to get earlier. A picture of Nihar Thackeray and Eknath Shinde is also going viral on Twitter, in which Nihar Thackeray is seen giving bouquets to Eknath Shinde. It is believed that Eknath Shinde has played a big game by breaking into the Thackeray family between the real Shiv Sena and the fake Shiv Sena.
