The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday announced that Marais Erasmus and Kumar Dharmasena will be on-field umpires for the T20 World Cup final between Pakistan and England to be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday. Erasmus was the on-field umpire in the first semi-final between Pakistan and New Zealand in Sydney, while Dharmasena was the on-field umpire in the second semi-final between India and England in Adelaide. Chris Gaffani will be the TV umpire for the final while Paul Reiffel will be the fourth umpire. The responsibility of the match referee will rest on the shoulders of Ranjan Madugalle.
Embarrassing defeat of Team India
Team India has suffered a crushing defeat by 10 wickets against England. Batting first, the Indian team had given a target of 169 runs to England, which they easily chased in 16 overs. For England, their openers Alex Hales and Jos Buttler have won the match for their team on their own. While Hales scored 86 runs, Buttler’s bat came with 80 runs.
