UP News: An e-rickshaw driver has died in a collision with a Mercedes car in UP’s Noida. This car was being driven by an IT professional. The incident took place at around 9 am on Friday morning in Nithari of Noida Sector 20 area, in which 29-year-old e-rickshaw driver Ravi was seriously injured. The e-rickshaw driver was taken to the hospital, where he died. Police have arrested the accused. The 38-year-old IT professional was on his way to work when the incident happened.
Police said that as soon as the information about the incident was received, the police team reached the spot and the e-rickshaw driver who was injured in the collision was taken to the hospital. However he could not be saved. The driver of the car has been identified as Anand Ranjan. He is a resident of Sector 25 and a case has been registered against the accused on the complaint of the family of the deceased.
A case has been registered under Indian Penal Code sections 279 (reckless driving), 304A (death by negligence) and 427 (causing harm), police said. The police have sent the body for post-mortem and have seized the car involved in the accident. Police said that the investigation of the matter is on. We are scanning the CCTV footage to find out whose fault it was.
