In Ram Raipur of Bhadohi city Kotwali area, five policemen, including a constable, were attacked by miscreants with sticks and sharp weapons on a police team that went to investigate a case on Sunday.
Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar said here that the police team reached the spot to investigate a complaint of Prabhadevi, a resident of Ram Raipur. In the complaint, a person named Parmesh Rai was accused of not giving land despite taking money. He told that when the police reached the spot, Parmesh Rai and his sons Alok, Adarsh and daughter Sonam created a ruckus.
Also threatened that they would neither give land to the complainant woman nor return her money. He told that when the police tried to convince them, they attacked the police team with sticks and sharp weapons. Superintendent of Police said that Inspector Mahesh Kumar Singh and two female and two male constables were injured in this incident.
All have been admitted to the hospital. He said that on the complaint of the injured inspector, the police registered a case against the attackers and arrested two of them. In search of the remaining absconding accused, their possible hideouts are being raided.
