Uttar Pradesh: A case of serious injuring a 60-year-old man by unidentified assailants in Vinaypur village under Khekra Kotwali in Chandinagar of Baghpat district has come to light, who later died during treatment. The nephew of the deceased has filed a complaint against unknown assailants.

Giving information about the incident, Khekra Police Officer Vijay Kumar said on Saturday that around 11 o’clock on Friday night, the police had received information that some people had escaped after attacking Dawood Ali son Hakam Ali, 60, resident of Vinaipur. He said that on information, the police reached the spot and admitted seriously injured Dawood Ali to the hospital, where he died during treatment on Saturday morning.

According to Kumar, the nephew of the deceased, Nadeem has lodged an FIR against the unknown assailants and the police is on the lookout for the attackers. On the other hand, eyewitnesses in the village said that the incident happened when Dawood Ali was sitting at the door outside the house with his nephew Naeem and another Akram on Friday night. According to eyewitnesses, the attackers had come on more than 6 bikes.
