Varanasi got its first smart station

Varanasi: Urban Development Minister of Uttar Pradesh government A. Of. Sharma dedicated it to the public while inaugurating the first smart bus station of Varanasi. The Smart Bus Station has been built under the CSR initiative by Hindustan Unilever Limited under the continuous guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This effort will not only strengthen the transport infrastructure in Varanasi but will also promote smart mobility.

Smart bus station built under this scheme

Energy and Urban Development Minister of Yogi government A. Of. Sharma told on this occasion that the suggestion of smart bus station was given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself. In the order of suggestion, the entire team and Urban Development Department worked diligently in the last 4 months to complete the work. Sharma said that this smart bus station has been constructed by Hindustan Unilever Limited under CSR under Varanasi Smart City scheme and will be operated by Municipal Corporation of Varanasi.

Smart station will be powered by energy

This smart station will be powered by solar energy and all the materials used in the construction have been recycled and used. The tiles used in this are also made from recycled materials. This smart bus shelter will also have charging facility and for security, CCTV cameras, LED lights have also been installed. Information related to cleanliness etc. will also be displayed from time to time on the display board for public awareness. Sharma thanked HUL, Municipal Corporation and District Administration for the construction of Smart Bus Station.
